Bike Salute
Whilst in Budapest last week I saw a few people with Critical MAss T-shirts. One of them had a pair of riders doing the "bike salute". I think it was my first introduction to it, strangely enough. Synchronicity saw me find bikesalute.com yesterday, a site/gallery with the plan to get a thousand riders to do the salute. So long as they don't ask the guy with the mosaic bike.

The 2 Mile Challenge
Clif Bar are having a 2 mile challenge. As 40% of motor journeys in the US are less than two miles, the challenge is to get out of your car and walk that distance instead. There's even a map, which will help you find, and suggest, facilities within a 2 mile radius of your home. It works for Britain as well. Once I remembered to preface it Manchester so that I didn't get a result on a motorway, it managed to get close to casa Spinneyhead.Technorati tag: Cycling
