Cycling proficiency for bobbies on bikes
Cheshire Police have told officers issued with cycles that they can't use them on health and safety grounds and must take a cycling proficiency test before they'll be allowed back in the saddle. Why didn't they think of this before issuing them and give the officers training from the start?Technorati tag: Cycling

Police bike ban after death
Most of Manchester's bike riding Police are out of the saddle for two months after the death of a rookie Community Support Officer in an accident. It's a shame, I've become used to having them around. And how exactly are the rookie bike cops going to get the experience they're judged to lack if they can't ride their bikes?Technorati tag: Cycling, Manchester, Police
